Remember that grieving is a natural process that can occur after experiencing a loss, whether it be the loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, the loss of a pet, or other types of loss such as job loss or illness. It’s completely normal to feel overwhelmed and sad during this time, but with time, these feelings often ease and we are able to find joy in life once again.

If you feel like your grief is impacting your daily life and you are struggling to cope, it may be helpful to consider seeking out grief counseling. Here are a few things to keep in mind as you consider this option:

  • You are feeling stuck in grief and overwhelmed
  • The grief from a major loss has lasted longer than expected
  • You are experiencing disbelief or emotional numbness
  • You are avoiding people, situations, or places that remind you of the deceased
  • You are experiencing persistent desire to die and be with the deceased
  • You are confused about role in life or identity due to the loss
  • Dependence on the accompaniment of a friend in social settings

7 Week Grief Recovery Method Program

A once-a-week online meeting that gives you the tools, space, and support to work through and release the pain of a major life loss. The full program lasts approximately 7 weeks depending upon the chosen format. Although, because the grief process is so unique and individual, on occasion additional time may be required for completion.
